Restaurant Description

Beautiful interior buildout. Be transported to an Italian country courtyard.

My wife and I were excited to see a new Italian restaurant open here in College Station, however, my experience was less than we had hoped for. My pasta was over cooked and the sauce, if you can call it that, was bland crushed tomatoes. There are two things I look for in a pasta dish, aldente pasta and a flavorful sauce. I got neither. My wife was no more impressed with her linguini and clam sauce. The sauce was very thin and watery, lacking flavor. I have had others tell me "Don't get the pasta, you have to get one of the other dishes". If you can't get the pasta at an Italian restaurant, then there is something wrong. I will say the ambience and service was worthy of the caliber of restaurant Luigi's is shooting for, but the food was not. We have no intentions of going back.

What a unique experience my husband and I had at the restaurant. We had been talking about going for months now I wish we had gone before. We are moving out of state and now this adds to the things I will miss most about CS. Anybody who has been wanting to try it DO IT! I highly recomended it....Just wanted to share my thoughts...

Italian
Quite simply the best Italian food I've had- and I've been to Italy. The chef is extremely talented, and the ingredients are top notch. If you want something special, ask for Dr. Roy's lump crab bake and the tiramisu. It's a little spicy, but to die ...
Italian
The food is actually pretty good. But the presentation, ,service, ambiance and decor leave much to be desired. Not fine dining. More like a hole in the wall. Great food where you wouldn't expect it. Affordable, yes. Romantic, NO.

Best Italian in College Station (Maybe Texas!!!)What a place. The food is great, the decor is amazing and the service is genuine. And that's just the begining. The live Jazz on weekends is great and the Sunday brunch is great also. The food is authentic Italian and the menu is varied. I have befriended the owners so I may not be the most objective, I just love the place. The oldest son manages the front and the dad is in the kitchen with some of his other children. Then at night on the weekends they all jump on the stage with many other very talented musicians and provide a world class Jazz concert. I love Jazz and I love Italian food and now I love this family too. Give it a shot.
