Restaurant Description
The restaurant began as Earl's in the 1960s at 43rd Avenue and Thomas Road and was family owned and operated. It began as an American diner, and the dishwasher was the inspiration for the authentic Mexican recipes that are still used today. The most familiar location was at 99th and Peoria avenues, but when wait lines were 45 minutes to get a seat, expansion plans were put into play, and the restaurant has been at 9440 W. Peoria Ave. since the early 1990s. After a brief change of ownership, Earl's went away (Azul's), only to ultimately be reborn as Crazy Earl's, under the new ownership of Andrea Ramsey.Ramsey has nine years of previous restaurant experience and was the former owner of Crazy Jim's at 15th Avenue and Indian School Road, which is the inspiration for the Greek and pizza offerings. It has been Andrea's main focus to bring back the atmosphere and flavor of Earl's with a new twist of Greek and hint of Italian foods, with the emphasis on the Original Earl's recipes and favorite Mexican and American dishes. In an effort to keep the atmosphere fresh, Saul Salinas has joined forces with Ramsey as of November 2009. Salinas brings with him previous restaurant ownership experience as well as his concept of 'The Iron Bar' which the lounge will be referred as. Saul will put his own custom iron work decor as finishing touches when the renovation is complete. Watch for exciting changes, specials, and concepts in the coming months! Quality of food, excellent customer service and full satisfaction are always the top priority! The restaurant offers two private rooms, one which can accommodate parties of 50 and the other can accommodate parties of 125 and can be reserved in advance. Reservations may be made for one-time or recurring events.Catering, banquets, buffets - any accommodation is welcome - we strive to be a destination!Recent The Iron Bar at Crazy Earl's Reviews

Wow, changes can be good. I have not eaten here in awhile, but drove by, saw it was changed. Place has had a facelift for the better. And the food, WOW. Salad was made FRESH and you could taste the difference in fresh salad. Dinner was fantastic, and the staff seemed to brighten up the place. It was a great experience, thanks for the rennovation, and keep up the good work!!!

Our family was referred to Don Lencho's by a friend a couple years ago and it has become our favorite for Mexican cruisine. V-E-R-Y modestly priced, superbly prepared entres. My favorite is the bean and beef burrito which is ample to say the least.
