The only reason I have leftovers to eat as I write is because we ate last night to the point of hurting. This place is REALLY good. Service was quick and friendly and, upon tasting the first dish, the BEST Indian food my friend and I had ever had. (She is from DC, eats Indian food at least twice a week and said this was the best Indian food she has ever had.) It is like when you walk into a really good Chinese restaurant vs. the local buffet and the food is just better and the flavors are fresher. The menu is different (and more authentic) than the one posted on urbanspoon. Go to http://www.thebluetaj.com/ to view. What a great place! Very unique, very quaint, and very chic. I am not a huge fan of typical Indian cuisine but this food was outstanding. The service is authentic Indian and very, very attentive. We were waited on at every turn. I love this place and am so glad to see something so unique come to Charlotte.

I traveled to South India over New Years and fell in love with the vegetarian food and this is the closest I have found to actually being in India. We had a couple of appetizers and the Thal which was enough for two and every dish was wonderful.
