We lived in Italy for 3 years and love Italian food. Bread was served and it was warm and tasty. The spaghetti and marinara that came with our meals didn't taste any different to me then what you buy in a box and jar at the store. We both had a glass of chianti. My guess is that they added port or brandy to the wine - it did not taste like chianti and was syrupy? We shared a cannoli. I had one bite and decided it was not worth the calories. The filling was flavorless and too sugary and the shell was bland as well. We expected more from the food, honestly, after reading some of the rave reviews. Our meal was ok. Maybe we will go back to try the pizza...the waitor and staff were all very nice.

Highly recommend!! Sorbello's is a great little restaurant with authentic Sicilian food!! It's NOT a fast food place so don't expect the food to come out quick like Olive Garden or places like that...nothing there is frozen and reheated! That's what makes it such a great place to eat, it's made from scratch. And what is up with the Carlani/Chicago comparison?? I've eaten in lots of restaurants in Italy and Sorbello's ranks high on the list of Italian restaurants I've dined in! Ciao!

The best Italian food I've had in a long time.
I'll be back. Very inexpensive for the quality of the food.

We love Sorbellos and think it's a wonderful family experience- my 6 year old is always treated great and thinks it's a fun place and we all love the food. We don't go there in a hurry, and it's great family time. I do not like the chain places and prefer the food and ambience of Sorbellos much more!

Went to Sorbellos on September 4th with a group of four. We placed our orders and I ordered a Quattro formaggio personal pizza with extra mozzarella.
When the order came I received a burned pizza with Ricotta cheese and sun dried tomatoes. There was no apology for the mistake but they offered to make another one. Great - then I could eat after everyone else was
finished. I thanked the server and told him I would eat it (around the blackened crust) to be social.
The final straw came when the bill arrived and I was charged $9.50 for a pizza that was advertised as $7.95. I pointed it out to the server and he said "That's the new price we just haven't had time to put it on the menu yet. He indicated that he would correct it when I checked out. He failed to do that and charged me $9.50 for a burnt pizza I didn't order.

That's it for me at Sorbellos. That's the third time and you think one
or two would be enough.

Several of us went there for lunch yesterday. The sign said "this is not fast food so please be patient." Well, that was putting it lightly. After 30 minutes and still no food we told them to just put it in 'to go' boxes as we had to get back to work. After another 10 minutes passed we got up to pay and hopefully speed things along. Our waitress came over and said the ticket fell behind something and it was going to be a while longer. "WHAT?" We told her to forget it and we left. We were the only table waiting on food, two other tables hadn't ordered yet. What were the people in the kitchen doing, let alone our waitress? Why wasn't she checking on our order? Can't comment on the food. The rolls were very tasty but the service was extremely poor, slow and there were dirty dishes left on tables for long periods of time. I will never visit this establishment again and I don't know how places like this can stay in business. I'm going back to Renna's for my Italian fix.

Sorbellos is one of my favorite restaurants in town. The service can be slow at times, especially when the place gets a little busy, but the food is always wonderful. I highly recommend it. If you are a dessert fan, get Sara's tiramisu.

You will not find a more courteous staff and better quality Italian food in Orange Park. The food is amazing and has a great Sicilian theme. If you live in or are visiting Orange Park you need to try this place! I'm going to order out right now!

I laughed when I read the diner giving it a single star below..the reasons he listed are part of it's charm for us!..how much more authentic italian can you get then the owners and servers sitting around when you enter. We do warn all our friends, however, that the bathrooms are in severe need of updating...need new tile, new paper, new sinks...ok, just redo the whole thing. But you won't find a more authentic, delicious and comfortable dining experience in OP, (the land of the chain restaurants).

To the diner below, I'm sorry you had all these bad things to say. It really is a charming and wonderful restaurant. The wait staff and cooks are all family or friends of family. We watched the daughter of the owner grow up in there serving pasta and bruschetta to the eager customers. I will say that it is NOT as nice and new as some other places, but it has been there for over a decade and is really great ... and this coming from someone who has been to Italy twice and travelled the globe. Try it out! If you turn your nose up at the place, then oh well ... you are out less than $30 for 2.

Absolutely disgusting, first impression was workers sitting at teh front of teh restaurant watching television, in the empty dining area, about 5 tables still had the dirty plates all over the table, (guess workers were busy with Tv), bathroom had thick dirt on light switch, no soap or paper towels to dry hands..TV stayed on teh whole time. Food okay!!!

I am not sure what the deal is with "Mr 1 Star" below that claims to know authentic. I am full blooded Italian/Sicilian on both sides of my family, and I can say that Sorbello's is the real deal. I have not tried Carlani's...It may very well be good as well...but I CAN tell you Sorbello's is worth the trip, and will not disappoint!!!

I'm not a professional food critic, and my opinion of the last review, is that, in all of the years that Sorbellos has been in business, not once has anyone ever mentioned it being of "CHICAGO" quality, ever since Carlani's has come into the picture people (competition) are starting to really get scared. Well that is my opinion, but that is what this is for. I think someone figured out how to be the first on this page by simply using the word Chicago, tell me what exactly does this restaurant have in common with Chicago, nothing, and if the writer compares this to anything in Chicago I really as a reader would have loved to hear what that was. Carlani's retaurant is a Chicago style restaurant since day one, they don't have to change because they are real and don't have to copy other concepts or ideas. They are real. Knowing all of the people in the military that have ever lived in Chicago or just visited once or twice, they say it is a real treat to go to Carlanis.

I'm origianally from Chicago where your dining experience is going to, if not, guaranteed to be good. The first time I went into Sorbellos I felt the intimacy of an authentic Sicilian restaurant in Chicago's Little Italy, not to mention the food was the taste I remember when my great- grandmother from Sicily used to cook for me.

the food and atmosphere is awesome as expected from a family owned operation. Though the service is sometimes slow it is of no consequence do to great prices, delicious meals, and a friendly don't rush attitude.

Great resturant we have been going there for years. I love how they always let me get the quattro formagio even though it is not on the menu. We lived in Sicily for 3 years and this reminds us of those times. Great people, food, service. A true slice of Sicily!!!

Sicilian family run with the best Italian food in the area and great prices. The BEST kept secret in Orange Park. There are only 12 tables and often a line outside but most people prefer to wait because the food is so good. It's all made fresh and to order.
