Food is excellent and buffet counters are kept clean. Service is inattentive. After three requests for water, we never received any and finally gave up. Response to ordering additional drinks was painfully slow.
Chefs had a hard time keeping the buffet stocked and lines stalled as diners waited for items to be replenished.
Very noisy, no surfaces to absorb the shouting seniors and the Whitney kids. Maybe it was a bad night.
We'll stay with Kyojin, which is about a mile away. The food and price is equally as good and the service is outstanding.

I have been to a few other Japanese buffets in the past, but they all pale in comparion to Shinju. They have such a large selection of sushi, rolls, & sashimi and the chefs are constantly right there making more. There is also a large selection of cooked foods, but for me the sushi, sashimi and rolls are plenty. There are soups, salads, crab legs, and lots of desserts. YUM!
