We were traveling and heard about this place. Nice 50's decor and atmosphere. I thought the menu had tons of choices, but prices were a little high. Waitress's (Both young) were more concerned about college issues than customers. I had to stop another waitress for a refill on coffee (my second cup, and last). The Owner was placing orders for food and other items right next to us at the counter. I think they could have been more discreet. Food was good, but not fabulous. It does seem that the regulars get better treatment from waitstaff.
The food was fantastic Service was very good Atmosphere we loved it. A Great dining experience Extensive wine list. The owner turned us on to a great bottle from Argentina. We will be back!!!
The best coney's in Jackson. This is my first stop when I return to Jackson. I moved in 1980 and my family still lives here. I even get a container to bring home with me. Would love the receipt. Pizza is also great, but I get the coney's.

Don't you even DARE to call Miss Penny (one of their servers) "Honey, Sweetie, Sweetheart" etc... She'll put you back on your heels and smile when she does...I am from the South and lived in Jackson for a time in High School but grew up in the South and know how to respect women from the South. I started going there in 1974 and have never been disappointed with the food. Every time I came home from the Navy (Submarine Service) I was always pleased with my meal and service.
Just, please, guys... Don't call Penny "Sweetie, Sweetheart or Darlin'" It WILL GET YOU IN TROUBLE!!!!
She's still a sweetie...
Smile, Penny... (Darlin')...

This place is very Kewl! We came for breakfast, and the choices are unreal. The food was very good, although my hash browns were a little burnt, tasted really good. I think if I had mentioned it, the waitress would have changed them in a minute. But, I was so amazed at the size of my omelette, and the amount of my half order of potatoes, that I could not say a word. The decor is wonderful, with the 50's theme, and the small diner theme, and it is wonderful. A sure bet if you are in Jackson.
