Really really fresh entrees. Best mexican food I have had in a very long time since I was last in Acapulco. The margaritas were to die for!

This restaurant had to have the most authentic and freshest mexican ever! The portions were large and resonably priced. I hadn't had mexican this good since being in Ixtapa. The seafood fajitas were exceptional. The guacamole tasted like it had just been prepared. My husband on the other hand has never been fond of mexican and was pleasantly surprised to actually find quite a few american dishes on the menu as well. He had the baby back ribs which came out "fall off the bone" just as advertised. Next time he said he would try the chicken parm. We totally enjoyed the killer margaritas in this festive atmosphere

The City of Poughkeepsie has always been very fortunate to have a great selection of good restaurants to eat in. However, the addition of Amici's on Main Street, right next to the renovated train station, has improved the selection 10-fold. Whether ...

Ah, the Acropolis Diner. Frequented by Vassar students looking for something to eat at 4:00 in the morning. The food is alright, though it's not cheap, but it's open 24 hours. There are better diners in town, but if you want to go somewhere nearby ...

We had a great dining experience in our recent visit to the Poughkeepsie area - Amici's Restaurant down near the Hudson River. The food was some of the best that I've had in a long time -- and the prices were very reasonable considering the quality ...

I just moved back to Poughkeepsie from FLorida. I went to Rio because I used to really enjoy their food and I was really excited about their awesome Margaritas. What a disappointment this time. The strawberry margarita was all strawberry mix, not enough ice and practically no tequila. The menu was a mess, new unmatching papers had been slid in. One of their specials was chicken parmigiana with spaghetti marinara. Isn't this a MEXICAN restaurant??? One of their vegetarian entree's was green beans with balsamic vinegar and salsa!!! What is that? The food was bland and not very good. THe chicken flautas and the enchiladas seemed to be exactly the same dish. The spanish rice had green beans, peas and lima beans mixed in it. Overall it was confusing and bad. I'm so sorry that Rio went so far downhill. I used to eat here about once a week. Never again.
