Best breakfast tacos in South Texas! Try the bean, cheese and chorizo.

Without a doubt the best cheese enchiladas and refried beans. Hot coffee or sweet ice tea with lime is the best way to wash it down. The flour tortillas are all hand made with love. There is no wonder why they have a line outside the restaurant every saturday

If you ever find a better enchilada anywhere, I'll pay you $100. Try the cheese enchiladas and the charro beans. I wish they'd bottle that sauce and sell it!

I grew up in Harlingen and would frequently go here for lunch or dinner (El Taquito was for breakfast). I moved away some 20 years ago, and have done a bit of traveling. Every time I go to a Mexican restaurant, I think about the enchilada plate at Las Vegas Cafe, no one has ever come close. (Well,...

I am an over the road truck driver who eats mexican food all over the country and the best Mexican food I have ever tasted in the United States or Mexico is at the Las Vegas Cafe.
Harlingen Golden Corral has really gone downhill. Kids playing with food, dirty tables, rude employees and people stuffing food into their purses right under the eye of management ! Our friend reported that a couple sitting near the back of the restaurant was putting steaks into a plastic bag and t...

I'm from Dallas, TX. I've lived in Mexico and visited there often and this is a definate must on our schedule every time. We're a little strange but we always go for breakfast and have the enchaladas w/ chips and salsa and then there's the sweet tea! I wish we had a Las Vegas Cafe in Dallas.
The food was not that great and the service was lacking.

Great Mexican food, in fact, the best in my opinion. The cheese enchiladas, fajitas and nachos are fantastic. Also, the sweet tea alone is worth the price of the meal.
On Sunday we took our grand parents to eat at the harlingen location and I had a bad experience with a waitrees there. She had not served us coffee and I requested for her to bring a cup also to my grand mother. When we pay at the register, the cashier instructed me to request for a cup because she ...

I went to have dinner with my grand daughters ages 8 and 3 yr. olds on 11/12/2007 about 7:00 pm. I had the three yr. on the chair and two trays; therefore, I requested help with the trays and didn't receive the help. I had to rolled the chair with my grand daughter to the table, my eight yrs. old c...
It is sad to hear that some have not had a good experience at the Lone star. I have been eating there for more than 30 years and believe it is the most consistently good restaurant I have eaten at in the Valley. The choice of 5 star restaurants in the Valley is non existent. The Lone Star is Restaura...

the food is great and the value is awesome
With out a doubt, this is one of the best mexican food restaurants in the country.
We just came down from Florida. I had heard good things about the Lone Star Restaurant in Harlingen, Texas. So my husband and I went there for a special occasion on 2-19-05. My husband had the Pork and I had the ½ slab of Baby back ribs, along with a frozen margarita, a frozen strawberry daiq...
The atmosphere is very nice, the food tasted great. The service? horrible. Perhaps it was the first day of our server? Couldn't say. Some of our items ordered never arrived, and when asked for them, we were ignored. When the bill came, the tip was automatically included on our table, which I f...
