 5.0 star(s)  (07/16/2007)
“While I was in the Chapel Hill area visiting, I asked some friends where I could find good sushi. Two different parties answered simultaneously, "Kanki". I decided to try it and was not disappointed. Half of the restaurant serves as a hibachi-style Japanese steakhouse and the other as a sophistic... ”

“This is my wife's and my favorite sushi spot in the Triangle. We will only go to another sushi restaurant if we are out of town. They know us by name, give us great service, and, most importantly, the sushi is fresh and 1/2 off. LOVE AKASHI!”

Shiki Sushi

“One of the best Japanese restaurant here in Durham! Not only is the food excellent but the service is fast and friendly. One I'd my favorite rolls is the Volcano roll seen in the photo. We were a party of 9 and everyone else got habachi which was also excellent. They also have a two for one sushi sp... ”

“The service here can be a bit slow, but the food here is the best in Durham! Try any one of the outstanding seafood, steak, or pasta dishes, and you will not be disappointed. They have a great raw bar, too, if you want a dozen oysters to start off. One of their best features is their sushi bar, whic... ”

“You wouldn't expect to find a bowl of PHO at a Japanese restaurant let along a good one. I was surprised to see it but curiosity peaked up and convinced me to try it. I must say it was a about average bowl of PHO. I was impressed with the flavor especially when this is not their specialty. If you ha... ”

Yamazushi Japanese Cuisine

“It's really a shame about Yamazushi, the food is really good, but the place absolutely stinks. We arrived there early one night, before the cooking had begun, evidently, so the actual smell of the place was apparent, and it just smelled like raw sewage. Considering the product, raw fish, that do... ”
