It is heartbreaking to write this latest review for what use to be one the best Chinese Buffets in the area. However it looks like ownership or at lest management changed hands in the last few months. And things have gone downhill. The food no longer has any flavor, and is not as fresh as it once wa...
The food is good but the service is hit and miss. Unfortunately they miss more than hits. There is just too many other in the Chapel Hill area to come back anytime soon.

The spice street platter app was pretty good. The ahi tuna with mango chutney was lackluster at best. the bouillabaisse was awesome. But sadly, the Berry Compote dessert was terrible! totally used frozen fruit not fresh and they didn't sweeten it enough so it was very bland. Won't be going back anyt...

We had high expectations but Lantern was only average in it's delivery. To start with the fresh squeeze lemonade was too tart and the spring roll appetizer was a bit soggy. 35 Chinese Buffet Restaurant was a disappointment for me and my son. We eat often at all of the Chinese buffet restaurants for lunch. As the restaurant front is small, many of my friends think it is a take-out only. This is the best plac...

Hong Kong Buffet 501 is a fine place to eat lunch. The wait staff is OK but there is one thing that puts me off: many of their waitresses do NOT speak English well. Example: I asked, "Can I get a knife?" and the waitress could not, even with several efforts from me, understand what I wanted. ther...
This is a pretty good buffet. I would say the food is better than mediocre pushing towards pretty good... :) I like the fact that they do serve some variants of authentic Chinese food in the buffet. Would definitely consider going back to try other items I didn't have room for during the first vi...
This nice little Chinese restaurant is hidden in Eastgate shopping center, and from the outside, it doesn't look like it has much to offer. If you do happen upon it though, you'll find a friendly and courteous staff and some of the best (though not the most authentic) Chinese food in Chapel Hill. Lu...
This is a good place to go to fill up. The food is mediocre, but the price for the buffet is right - especially for hungry students.
