I had an order for pickup and went by the webpage menu. The web page said it would be a little over $l7 for the family size and $l for a small. I confirmed this with the person taking my order. The bill came to $25.60. They overcharged and would not made amends despite 4 phone calls. They said the w...

I got a 5 star chicken rice dish and the sampler appetizer platter which came to $16.32 (carry-out, no tip). I got 2 meals out of it. Thats $8.16 PER MEAL. The appetizers were very small. Basically WAY overpriced, but then I guess all dine-out food is these days.

Yum! We grabbed some lunch to go on our way out of town and it only took about 10 min. The thai spring roles are the best we've had (and so was the sweet/sour sauce). Each of our dishes (both noodle dishes...I forget what exactly) were delish. We'd definitely go again and reccomend this place to...
My boyfriend and I were looking for a nice place to go for Valentine's day dinner and we stumbled upon The Ozark House. The ambience was very conflicting. The wait staff is dressed in nice black clothing, while the decorations are more centered around fishing and hunting. Many other things about the...
Certainly the most authentic Mexican food I had outside of Mexico. Tacos are just like what you get from a street vendor in Mexico. Right down to the guacamole sauce you see all over parts of Mexico. (The runny kind with cilantro.)

Great ambiance and atmosphere set in the historic charm of an old fire station. From steaks to seafood and pastas to several unique specialty chef's selections, we were impressed.
Just moved here from Chicago and I was disappointed in the selections of restaurants in the area. My husband chose the Ozark House to celebrate his 30th birthday. I'd never been there, but had heard about the famous barbecue. I ordered the special of the night, blue cheese crusted filet. Althoug...

A friend insisted I had to try NaNa Thai for dinner when I mentioned Bloomington was the destination for that evenings motorcycle ride. We took her advice and were pleasantly surprised. We ordered the Thai Springrolls to start and they were delicious. They were cruncy and didn't appear greasy at ...
When I come into town this is the first place I visit! I have lived all over and I crave the french onion soup, BBQ ribs (Chicken or pork loin), prime rib, and even the creamy garlic salad dressing. I would suggest checking out this place, it beats all the chains in town and has a warm family fe...
I'm really puzzled by the reviews on this site for The Ozark House. While it is by no means perfect, I have been going there for over 10 years and can say it is truly a gem in the Bloomington-Peoria area. The comments about the decor is true, it's a little outdated, but if you're talking about t...
We waited for a hour and a half for our food. The place needs to be updated with modern decor, instead of the 70's. The owners did not act very nice to the wait staff.
the best mexican fast food in bloomington,il..there tacos and tortas are delicious and are always fresh to order unlike the other restaurants in bloomington.when ur cash is low this is the best place to eat. Also the owners are always there to please.
I was very dissapointed in the service and was awed at paying extra for already overpriced drinks. The waitress was not friendly, and i would suppose that is the reason they automaticcally add the tip to the bill. I, nor my family will ever go back there, even steak and shake has friendlier waitresse...

Excellent food. Excellent service. Nice people. We've tried many items on the menu and have never had a bad meal there. Try it!

Excellent as always. Food is always top notch, service is great. Be sure to go to the lounge for a drink after 7:30 pm and hear Chuck play the piano.
Service is EVERYTHING. I remember having lobster there once and they severely overcooked it. It was chewy. They said I could order any thing else from the menu EXCEPT lobster. I wanted the lobster..the right way. Then once I got a a carry out, took it home and had a bug in my salad. I drove a...
It was our daughters 30th birthday, there were 22 of us. We received the wrong appetizer because the waitress misunderstood us, we would have let it go, but she brought my husband the wrong meal, they didn't have what he wanted and she misunderstood him again, also his crablegs were cold, they offer...
We met 2 other couples for dinner on a Saturday Evening. The place was full. We had reservations, and there was no wait. My wife had the barbequed ribs(1/2 slab), which she liked very much. I had the barbeque, which could have been better. It was dry, and had little taste. No drinks, except coffee...

Restaurant needs updating. Food was a disappointment. Service was good, though. Rib Eye steak looked more like a NY Strip. Slightly overcooked, flavorless, ladeled with a salty au jus, full of grissle. Asparagus was well cooked, but had sand/grit in the tops. Would have been better off at a chai...
This was our first experience at the Ozark House and it was definately not a bad one. The service was fine (not sure why the other people are complaining about it, maybe just one bad server or a bad night), the food was good (I got the BBQ), and price was right. The only complaint I have was in th...
