The best salad dressing in Des Moines. Beyond that the cavatelli is good, the Jamaican jerk sandwich is really good and it's some of the best pizza you'll find anywhere. It's worth a visit.

Barrattas is a cool place. The food is great...but the dining areas could look a lot better. The prices are pretty good too.
A little overrated. They recently raised prices quite a bit and their food didn't improve w/ increase. Pizza a little greasy. Not real kid friendly - not a lot for them to see/do. Sandwiches were ok, but nothing to brag about. Not my favorite southside spot! Recommend others first.

If you are a student at Drake, this is where you ordered your pizza from. It was fast, it was good, and it was inexpensive -- all keys to a successful college pizza experience. When I was there, it was delivery or pickup only. Coupons were common in the university newspaper.
I just loved this place. It was one of the best italian dining experiences I have ever had.
The food is wonderful. It has a very diverse and unusual list of ingredients. I really like the slices after midnight but I think they should sell slices all day long! The service is not that great. Don't ever get delivery (they couldn't find my apartment which is 10 min. away and easy to locate).
