Pros: A local favorite, small/cozy, great staff, inviting atmosphere, good menu selections, good food & wine. Cons: Not inexpensive, food has been inconsistant in temp, flavor,'freshness.' Never not good but some pasta may be a bit bland,tomato/mozzarella seems pulled out of fridge, some dishes are n...
The best restaurant we experienced in San Francisco. Although generally catering for seafood the menu was extensive but certainly good value for money. And the views of the sunset was for free!
One of my favorite places in San Francisco. The food is wonderful, the service is excellent, and the prices are moderate. Their Penne al Salmone is to die for!

This is a true Italian culinary experience, the food and the waitstaff are amazing. Love of garlic is a must, the seafood is beautifully fresh and the pasta is perfectly al dente. The waiters are fantastic. Always super friendly and accomodating. I have eaten there many times and always find mys...
Expect a pleasant, enjoyable experience here. The food and service will entice you to join the "regulars" that keep coming back for great lunches and dinners.
Food: splendido. Service: simpatico. So glad we discovered this little gem on our way to Cinearts. Try it!
Fantastico! Molto grazie to the nice Italian guys who served my food. Save room for dessert.

Also try the lobster bisque...very nice. But perhaps the best part of HSSH is the staff. Henry is an exceptionally warm and invit...
I love this restaurant. Fish baked in paper is the specialty. If you love light and airy fish cooked to perfection then consider Hyde Street. It's all about the food. And Henry is a great host. Call ahead, it's always busy.
I just love the location of this restaurant. Right on the bay, with full view of the Bay Bridge and Treasure Island. The food was excellent and the ambiance romantic and cozy. Great place to go with a date or even have a business lunch or dinner.

Over all a great place, David the bartender is great, he served us sake martinis--very good choice. Sushi is good, steaks are great, crab martini-creative and tasty

While the trout cheek appetizer didn't quite make it for us (overdone cheeks, floury sauce) the sushi was indeed "to die for." Of course, it may be that coming from Chicago our taste buds weren't used to such freshness, such melt in your mouth consistency! It ruined us for whatever sushi we get he...

It was a wonderful experience, upon entering the front door until exiting, beautiful decor and wonderful food. Service was excellent.
Great food and OK service. I always get the seafood saute (love the garlic in it). I have been going to Scoma's for years. The last few times I felt they were just packing us in. The table I had with my wife was literally connected to the table next to us. Stangers actually joined our conversation. ...

This place is not only a good place to eat but to have fun. Most of the dishes have a lot of garlic. Thewaiter are like part of your family. It is the first place i've eaten where if the dont like someone they will ask them to get out, just like home.Again if you like good food with garlic this is ...
