This is a genuine mexican restaurant. It has been around a long time at the same spot. I has the air of south of the border about it. This restaurant is legendary. Used to be on Mt Vernon and moved to Highland 30 years ago. This place has been a main stay of mexican food in this area since 1951. Everybody should try it once for the experience.
Now this is a different place. Just a few tables inside. Decorated in a real southwestern feel. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. I would recommend that you get your food to go. Not much confort in dining there, but the food is well worth the effort. Salsas are graet.
Nice variety of mexican food. This was the first place I ever had fried icecream. Nice decor and every meal is good and consistent.
