Clam Haven
I grew up in NH and lived right down the street from Clam Haven. They were usually open from April through October and I looked forward to winter being over so I could get my fried seafood fix! I now live in Florida and only get to visit Clam Haven once a year...it is still worth the trip. White, flaky haddock, perfectly breaded and lightly fried is to die for. The scallops are sweet and large. Their onion rings are battered, not breaded, with a crispy and almost chewy golden coating...an onion's equivilent of corn dog batter. And their clams are sweet and tender...big, fat juicy bellies and all. The atmophere is typcal New England clam shack...rustic and simple. You order and pay for your food at one window; drinks and ce cream at an...

Fried clams were ok, nothing great. Onion rings were the worst I've had - more batter than onion. I'd go for the take out as in in house trays were not very clean.
Primarily serving breakfast it also serves lunch. It is open early morning to early afternoon. It is a small "diner" and jeans and t-shirt are quite acceptable attire.

Small dining room, but good seafood. Great family value meals.
Clam Haven is an informal snack bar type place that serves GREAT fried clams, fried shrimp, scallops, etc. It has the typical roadside snackbar ambience, but the food is great and is available for takeout.
