I am so pleased to have a Chinese restaurant in Des Moines that serves "dim sum" on Sundays (10 AM to 2 PM, I believe): I do not need to go to a big metropolis like Chicago, New York, San Francisco or Boston in order to enjoy such an specialty. Variety is not as big as in the big cities and the dishes have to be ordered from a menu instead of been rolled out of the kitchen from a cart, as is done in bigger restaurants in more cosmopolitan areas, but dishes come from the kitchen prepared to order, hot and without a long wait.
The service is very friendly and the owner/cook will always come out, greet and talk to you before you leave. Answering questions about ingredients in the dishes, special requests, modifying the ingredients of s...
