Family style meal with lots of food, Basque food always includes potato salad, beans and a meat stew. Not fancy, but filling. Entree price is for everything, salad thru ice cream. May order steak-shrimp-etc for more.

THE FOOD IS EXCELLENT AS WELL AS AUTHENTIC. IT IS NOT IN A GREAT LOCATION AND THUS IT AFFECTS THE ATMOSPHERE. IF YOU CAN GET PAST THE LOCATION I WOULD CONSIDER IT ONE OF THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD RESTURANTS IN FRESNO.

Fabulous Fresh Peda Bread & Irish Soda Bread, Wonderful Buffet, soup and salad bar, Reasonable and conveinent.

Friends recomended this place, in fact there were several recomendations. The food was excellent, authentic. The staff were very friendly. The place is totally casual.

"Factory food" is overpriced. So so service.
Go for drinks and the scene. Eat elsewhere.
Good honest food. Prices are high, but not over the top. I really like being at Max's.
We have only eaten there two times, but found the food excellent and the staff very friendly. We plan on going there again soon.
