The food was okay but the service was horrible. And I agree with one of the previous reviews--if they don't know you, than they could care less about how your dining experience is going. There was probably 5 tables in the whole place and we still sat and waited for everything. Also, don't bother to order a salad--your waitress will probably forget it and when you finally do get it, it's just a huge bowl of lettuce and nothing else--way overpriced. If this palce didn't burn down it would most likely close anyway.

We are from Rochester, NY, and when we visit our daughter and grandson in Clarks Summit, we always try to eat at Pepato's. The atmosphere is wonderfully warm and relaxing, the food inventive and delicious, and so nice to be able to bring our own bottle of wine. We wish they had a branch in Rochester!

Good food at a really great price. Service can be hot or cold. Lots of young inexperienced waitstaff comes through here. Be prepared that your food may take a long time. I have waited 1.5 hours in the restaurant for food.

I agree. This is one of the few fast food restaurants that ALWAYS get my order right! Drive thru staff is very friendly and helpful and I give them an A+ rating. The woman who works the day shift has always been great!

Finally decided to eat there after living in Clarks Summit for 11 years and having been at all the other establishments and we were astonished at the taste of the food. Having at our luxery some of the best dining in the area in this small town and sampled them all we both agree that it was the best food we have had anywhere, including out of this area. The bone in ribeye was spectacular (Uncle Pete) and the Veal Porterhouse was out of this world Amici. And beware the bananas foster Michael Angelo. Oh and the appetizer calamari was colerfully delicious Patsel. Keep it a secret though, we dont want to many people to to know.

I know the lady one reviews is speaking of, and I kinda like that she'll have a glass of wine with customers. It adds to the feeling of being welcomed. Would you rather come over and sit on your face while eating like at some places? Common. Relax. Ahh, sorry, anyway, I love pepatos and go on every site I find their name to give them a great review.

Truly exceptional food! A classy, upscale venue, featuring only the freshest of ingredients. The warm, cozy, and serene ambience provides an extraordinarily relaxing atmosphere for enjoying the creative and sophisticated cuisine. The featured entrees on the often-changing menu rival the very best you will find anywhere. If you can eat in only one restuarant in NEPA, this should be it!

Without exception the best food most innovative food in NEPA for well over a decade. The menu is unique(eg venison rack, fresh dover sole, grilled figs),as is the wood fired oven. The food is always fresh and top quality.Have taken relatives from Italy who to this day talk about their experience at Pepato's.Great service,BYOB.

I don't why that guy rated this place a 1, common. Denny's is a 1. This place is fantastic. I'm vegetarian, and to be taken care of easily in a higher end restaurant is a hard fine. I've probably been to Pepatos 100 times in the last 5 years, and have loved it every time I've been there.

Food is good, nicely presented and inventive. Service as mentioned before can be slow, but that's ok. We were surprised that everyone else who came in knew the staff - most have a devoted following in local circles. Easily worth a visit.

I could not rate service or value simply because I have never actually dined at Pepato. However, my boyfriend used to work there and would brag about it all the time. This past Christmas when we were in PA, he finally took me there to see the place he had always talked about. Pepato is so intimate and romantic. The food is cooked on an open fire and it smells amazing. I even got to walk in back and it was very very clean. I've heard from multiple people that this is by far the nicest restaurant in the Clarks Summit area.

Extremely over priced. Portions are very small. Waitress was very inattentive and spent much of her time sitting down w/ friends. The food was good, however there are other restaurants in the area that are better.

Easily the best restaurant in Northeastern PA. Specializing in terrific wild game and incredibly inventive, fresh seafood. BYOB for wine.
