I realize, more than not, you establishments get many more complaints than compliments but I had to submit this one. As a 4 person family we watited over 20 YES I mean 20 minutes to even get water to our table on an evening they weren't even busy. When you dine with kids you'll understand 40 minutes to get a meal is ridiculous! We didn't even get the hushpuppies to snack we saw other families with.

I wouldn't recommend, unless you've got lots of time and a LOT of patience!

2 good dining experiences then on the 3rd visit we had the worst service, and worst food we have ever had. Too bad, we liked this place. The oysters rockefeller had a strange and unfamiliar smell (had twice before), and the roasted fries my husband had were greasy and the seasoning smelled bad. Waiter never came by to check on us so we could say something - and never got tea refills.

the staff are very nice. You are greated at the door. Great place to hang out ,sing, play pool, or just watch the sports channel on one of the many tv's. Friendly place to be with some of the best food. Bathrooms are kept clean and so are the tables ...

I was not at all impressed with the resteraunt. It is not kid friendly AT ALL. The food is HIGHLY overpriced and is not worth half of what you pay for it. I had the calamari and she-crab soup for almost 20 for the two. Calamari was like half cooked rubber and the she-crab soup was really "fishy" and greasy. If you want seafood, Red Lobster would be better and I am no fan of Red Lobster.
The atmosphere was more like that of a bar. The chairs were metal and extremely uncomfortable. The staff was very nice tho. If not for that, I would completely soured to the experience but staff is not a good reason to go to a resteraunt.
Oysters on the West End needs to make vast improvements and a change in their kitchen. Even if they do, after 2 consecutive bad experiences, I will never visit the resteraunt again and would not recommend this place at all to others.
