My friends and I went to Old Post one evening to hear a particular band that was playing one evening. We sat out on the patio and enjoyed the music, food service and very yummy appetizers. Our experience was so enjoyable we decided to return a few weeks later. This time we sat inside at the bar and had a totally different experience. The food was still great but the service was a huge disappointment to say the least. The Bartender was scarce and when he was present, confused drink orders or totally forgot them. When reminded, he was curt and unprofessional confusing insults for bad humor. Other patrons would be left waiting and several inquired of my friends and I as to where he was. He would reappear only to have to be flagged down to place an order. My friend and I have both been bartenders at very popular clubs and restaurants and by no means was the crowd that evening too demanding for an adequatly skilled bartender. Sadly our second visit was not as pleasant. My recommendation is sit at a table and avoid the bar especially if Joe is working it.
