This is a great alternative for people who have a taste for international food and are tired of Sushi/Thai/Spanish/Nouvelle and, specially here in Miami, Cuban cuisines. Their emphasis is on Bacalhau (Codfish) dishes cooked in a variety of sauces an manners, and include both the fresh and the dried bacalhau. They have other types of fish and seafood choices which are just as delicious. There is a good selection of wines and if you don't know them, you should try the Portuguese, as well as an after dinner Port. Desserts are great. People who only have fish as bland, insipid, frozen fillets that get defrosted in the microwave or as a Combo with French Fries at fast food restaurants might consider the flavors too strong and even spicy, but, that could be the average American's taste ( If you add a grain of salt it's too much.) There are great daily lunch specials during the week which include the choice of a glass of wine. A good choice for neophites to start with is the Bacalhau Gomez da Za.
