The food was FANTASTIC. WE had the Prime Filet Mignon and I could actually cut it with a fork.

WOW, We loved this place. We started at the bar, awesome atmosphere, but headed outside to enjoy our meal under the yellow umbrellas while watching the boats come in and manuever turning around and docking. Such a quaint place tucked into the Lake Norman Cove. We had a great server, Her name was Jennifer. She certainly knows her wine and makes great suggestions. The filet mignon is excellent!! My compliments to the Chef. We can't wait to try something new next week.

The owner of this restaurant is against tourism and vacationers in the Lake Norman area. We suggest you do NOT visit this restaurant. He is not friendly and does not attempt to be hospitable to visitors.

This was my first dining experience at NHC but it won't be my last. Excellent food but the service was a little slow on refilling drinks. I have to say that in their defense that it was a day in which the place was packed! Also the wait time to get the meal seemed a little long but that just allowed more time to unwind and relax and enjoy the awesome view. I highly reccommend that everyone try it.

I thought that this restaurant was like eating in a tropical paradise. We ate outside in the sunshine where a squirrel sat munching on a leaf about three feet away. The sun was shining across the riplets of Lake Norman and the waitresses were delightful. My "Shrimp on a Stick" appetizer and "Flat Grilled Steak"(??) entree were both incredibly well cooked. I wish I had the recipe. Marvelous experience altogether!!
