Dallas Restaurant Guide

I've been eating at the New York Subs shop for 15 years and never had anything less than great food and excellent, friendly service. Every one that I've ever taken to New York Subs has always liked it and wanted to eat there again. What more can you say!

It may not be the fastest sub in the south but it is the FRESHEST you can get. The subs are never premade and the meats/cheeses aren't sliced ahead of your order. Been going here since they opened.

These sandwiches are excellent! I eat there about once a week. The food quality is great, the staff is always nice and friendly and the restaurant is clean. When my daughter comes home from college, this is the first place we go to!

Had the occasion to return today after an absence of several months and all I can say is, I've been gone way to long from New York Sub!!! My FAVE...Tuna Fish - dressed all the way with fresh & crispy veggies on a soft, French hoagie roll was incredible. For all the weight-conscious health minded fitness buffs, any sub can be prepared as a salad meal. Extra impressive were the updates to the decor & furnishings and the place is so very clean and spotless. Staff prepares the subs made-to-order, gloves ON! in a friendly, customer-service oriented manner. Large drink and chip selections with ice cream & fresh baked cookies to complete your meal. This is still my absolute favorite sub shop in Dallas. New York Sub…..an SMU neighborhood tradition that’s maintained high quality food standards and always used the freshest ingredients & meats available. I'll be back more often. Count on it!

The employees never wear gloves and the owner can be very unfriendly. It is the most unsanitary restaurant I have ever been to even though the food can be good.

NY Sub caters to the lunch crowd and is frequented by college students and professionals alike. NY Sub offers a wide variety of sandwiches that are unparralled in quality and value. You can always tell a good sandwich shop by their tuna sandwich and it is the best you can buy. I strongly recommend NY Sub to anyone in the University Park/Highlend Park area.
