Restaurant Description

Call for reservations, this small shining gem is always packed. The live entertainment is first rate and the food from the crab cakes, jerked chicken to escovitched snapper will be some of the best that you have ever tasted. Great two-sided bar, come for a drink and leave with a friend.

BARBECUE, this is the one word to describe the smoky, tangy, saucy utterances that issue from MoBay Uptown's kitchen. I had gone many times before, for the whole snapper rundown, the crab cakes and the fabulous vegetarian offerings, but once I tasted the beef ribs,it's hard for me to go there and have anything else. Firstly it's huge and so smoky, sweet and tangy with that fall off the bone texture, top it off with peach cobbler and cancel Christmas. Because it just doesn't get any better than this. Service is not speedy, but in the evening enjoy the live music while you wait.

This is the best barbecue in Manhattan. You can never get in on weekends. Try Monday through Thursday. Still might be a wait, but the mood is magical and gorgeous looking inhabitants at the bar are very friendly. Have a Harlem Mojito and kick back. The beef ribs are gargantuan, smokey and tasty, best candied yams and collard greens that you have ever tasted. For seafood lovers, the snapper rundown is amazing. I am getting hungry just thinking about my last visit. So much for writing this review I am going right now.

For my first visit to New York and Harlem, I wanted a true soul food dining experience. Miss Mamies was that. We had the good fortune to sit with a couple who ate there every Sunday and had recommended the fried chicken. With both of us loving comfor ...

Waste of money. I lived in New Orleans for nine years, so I believe I have a good sense of southern cooking. I can say that Acme is a poor rendition of southern food. The food was bland, and the restaurant was pretty dirty. I couldn't even finish m ...
