My wife and I eat here regularly with and without a pile of children. For me its a little expensive $8 to $16. Best frijoles in town. The seafood is really good, as is the entire menu in my book.
There is handicapped access, and they have solid repeat traffic and often great diners by name.
They even put up with truly mediocre spanish.
Things to try Tacos al Pastor
Sopa de siete mares.
anything Mocajete
They have some domestic and import beers as well as mixed drink.
I was really surprized at the previous review. That person could well have been having a bad night, or considers City Grill and Ruth's Chris and everyday experience.

IN Short. Its a good family restaurant with good food and a friendly atmosphere

First, it is not a mexican resturant. It is Americanized mexican food. So the best resturant to compare it to would be taco bell. Taco bell costs less, and tastes better. So why are you going to this resturant.

If you want real mexican food, avoid this resturant.

If you want good value for your dollar, avoid this resturant.

If you want good tasting food, avoid this resturant.

However, staff was very friendly and service was good.

Food was definitely below average - and servings were not generous. Margarita was terrible. Service was fine. I would not go back.

Food was great, I love the bbq quesadilla. The free chips are hot and fresh!

My daughter and I came in from San Diego to visit her Father's side of the family this time around. On our last night here, all my daughter had said was that she wanted a quesadilla, and I wanted it to be downtown, and so I picked Oba. Talk about a ...
