We dine at the Mandarin Palace quite often and every time we go we have excellent service. The first time we went was because the restaurant we were going to (called ASHO) was packed and filled with smoke from the Teppanyaki grills. I remembered the commercials for the Mandarin Palace reopening and we went. We hardly go to ASHO anymore because we enjoy the Mandarin palace so much..

Dined at the Mandarin Palace on June 20, 2008 and for us, the food was not even the issue with this establishment! It was the way we were treated by the staff. They were extremely rude and obnoxious to me and my party and the manager told us that they had all been talking about us in the kitchen. To be honest, I never did care for this place in the past because I always got the feeling I was being watched by the servers, but this was the first time I could actually confirm my suspicions. Needless to say, I will never return to this restaurant again. I like to feel comfortable in the places I dine. I'm sorry to give such a poor review because the food was, for the most part, pretty decent, but I feel others should be warned about the attitude of the workers!
We enjoyed our meal. It was tasty, fresh, & nice, large portions at reasonable prices. The atmosphere is comfortable, nice & the staff is friendly. Cantonese pan fried noodles was the bomb & the best fried rice around.

Dined here on Christmas Day with 9 friends. After we were seated, I noticed dirty dishes stacked on the floor next to our table. We had to ask for them to be removed. The dirty dishes on the table behind us were never cleared even after we were there for an hour and a half. After our order was finally taken, some of us were served expeditiously. We ate our meals slowly as we were awaiting the others meals to be served. By the time the others were being served, half of us had already finished our meals. Is it too much to ask for everyone to be served together, or within a reasonable amount of time, as to not feel rude? After dinner the trip to the restroom capped the evening. The smell and appearance of the restroom was disgusting. Overall, not a good experience.
