you guys are racists. never going back!
I went in 03-09-13 to take my parents to dinner. The snotty hostess and old man that worked there were rude and made me and my family feel unwelcome. After we arrived, she told me that the wait time for a party of 3 would be 45 minutes, three minutes later a WHITE family of FOUR came in and she told them 'it will be a 30 minute wait'. i tried to overlook this. as i kept waiting, larger parties kept coming in(white people) and they would be seated first despite the fact that my family and i had arrived before them. the old man(i guess manager or owner) was handing out water to people(again white people) waiting but didn't offer any to my family. the snotty hostess would give me a dirty look every now and then & snap 'can i help you?'. Finally i said 'fudge this,i am not letting these racists take my money,i can tell we are not welcome' and we left. it's a shame.
this isn't 'slander' by any means, this was an awful and unfortunate experience.

The food was good, but the owner uses false advertising approaches and is misleading. We purchased a certificate from Restaurant.com to use at Luce and used it when we placed our order. It was not until after we'd been served our first course that we ...

I am a regualar customer who has been eating this great Italian food for years!

Casual and friendly, this is a family-owned restaurant that serves excellent, authetic Italian food at moderate prices. For example:

Great NYC cheese-tomato pizza! I love the wonderful fresh clams and/or mussels - especially in white wine/fish- stock/olive oil/garlic/basil; there are lots of different tasty eggplant dishes; many different authentic Italian pasta dishes; real Italian meatballs and sausage; good seafood, chicken and veal. Pick a wine and dine well.

But I always start with some of the very remarkable choices of cold marinated antipasti (I suggest you ask Mimo to make up a plate of various antipasti especially for you!).

And if I am not overstuffed, I end with one (or more) of several lovely Italian desserts or NYC-style cheesecakes, with a satisfying cup of good hot coffee (regular, espresso or capuccino). 'Grazie', can't ask for a better dinner!
