One of the little jewels in Fort Wayne. I've never had a bad meal, side, appetizer, drink, etc. at Hartley's. Even though we live in the extreme Northeast corner of Allen County, a trip to Hartley's is always highly anticipated.

The food and service was excellent. The restaurant was very busy and they had a person at the door handing out samples of flatbread pizza. Someone even got my friend a beer while wating. Food was hot and timely. Menu was very diverse. Service was ...

Good food, tons of space, huge screens; what more do you want?

We go out of our way to dine at Hartley's. The menu is interesting and there are always specials to choose from. Our server was wonderful and encouraged me to try one of the specials which was delicious. Great food, great service.

We drive from Westfield, In. to eat there. The place is clean and the value is fine. We mainly go for the GREAT french onion soup. Very tasty. We are heading there this Sunday so I can get a onion soup fix.

I live close to this diner and visit it frequently. The food and beverage portions are huge. No matter what I order, I always have leftovers. The menu has a wide variety and you can get anything you want. By anything, I do mean anything. If something is not on the menu, let Jorge the owner know and he will have what you want prepared. The menu that includes a "greek or mediterannian" flare is scrumptious especially the potatoes and veggies. I also love the lemon chicken soup. This place is well worth a visit. You definitely get your moneys worth!

12 bucks for coffee, toast, bowl of oatmeal & side of ham. This is the most that I have ever paid for breakfast in my entire life (63 years). 6 to 7 bucks in just about any other restaurant in Fort Wayne. WAY to expensive. Don't think that I'll be going back.

This is one of my favorite roadside diners anywhere, anytime. I travel up and down I-69 all the time and I make sure to save my appetite for my stop at the Liberty Diner. I have never had a bad meal here in the hundreds of times I have eaten there. My favorite meal is the spinach and feta cheese omelette. The wait staff is always friendly and efficient with familiar faces. George and his wife run a great restaurant that never disappoints. The only criticism I might have is that the coffee tends to be weaker than I prefer but I like my coffee stronger than most.

Terrible. Absolutely terrible. I had the corn-beef hash omelette. First, it was hardly an omelette and more a souflet or pile of eggs. It lacked corn beef as well. It lacked flavor and substance and was overwhelmed with swiss cheese. The "home fries" are nothing more than hash browns. They were cold. I had a cup of coffee, and read a good portion of the paper without a refill. It is a crime that I was charged nearly $10 for something that awful. Again, it was terrible. Rich's cafe in New Haven, 4 seasons in New Haven, Cosmo's on Washington Ctr. or Cosmo's house of pancakes at Canterbury could serve day old breakfasts to customers and it would be better than Liberty. Go somewhere else or cook at home. Dont waste your time and money.

I am a regular customer at Liberty. I love everything about this place. In my opinion, it is one of the top 3 restuarants in Fort Wayne. Take tonight for example...The manager was quite rude to me, but my waitress (Emmy) was so professional. She apologized repeatedly and quickly regained my calmness. I will be sending a letter of commedation to Geore, the owner, on her behalf. One bad apple don't always spoil the whole bunch. Kudos Emmy.

My family and I go here almost every Sunday for brunch. We generally all order from the breakfast menu and always have PLENTY of food to be completely full and walk out with lunch for the next day. If you get the farmer's fritta, you'll have lunch for 2 days. It is a great value, the servers are THE BEST. We never have empty water, they remember what you ordered and they are very personable and funny. You won't find better!

Liberty Diner is one of those places known locally by the locals. The menu is ambitious in it's range of offerings. I have ranked it high in the context of what it is. It is not J Decuis or Eddie Merlot which rank high in their own contexts. The Liberty Diner ranks high because it is a place where you can get almost anything you want at a reasonable price and with a relative high degree of quality. it is lacking a bit in ambience only because it is so well used. I have never been there when it has not been almost full. There is a Greek flavor to the menu, but it is not a Greek restaurant. As the Liberty name implies it is an American diner. If I have any reservations it is the size of the salads. They are so big they are more like meadows, so I feel guilty leaving as much as I do. It might help if they chopped up the lettuce a bit smaller. The same with fruit salads as well. The pieces are too big. I sometimes feel like I am in the land of the giants. But these are small complaints compared to the lemon chicken and onion soup, the meat loaf, fresh bread, crispiest french fries, and any sandwich. I work down the street. I have explored a wide range of the menu. If you haven't been there, go now.

Travel alot. This is one of the best

Travel extensively, and this diner is one of the best we have had the opportunity to try. The food is fantastic with large portions and very friendly wait staff. One of our favourite places. Visit every time when in Ft. Wayne.

Went to Liberty Diner. Was waited on quickly, friendly waitress, we ordered the chili cheese wedges. There was tons of them.

Husband had chicken parmesan, and I had the tiki shrimp. My dinner was real good. Not just "diner" food.

I don't get where the other reviewer stated bland and simple recipes. There are some places that might have shrimp on skeweres where they had it on sugar cane skewers and nice flavor of spices, veggies, and rice was the side.
As for prices they are reasonably priced. Spagetti 6.25 and chicken marsala 8.95 and even steaks you can have a filet mignon for about 16 or steak n eggs for about 10

At some fast food places (Arby's) you will pay near 5 for a sandwich. And for a couple dollars more you can have home made lasagna with salad and garlic bread.
