Dinner started out with a cockroach walking across my wife's menu. Drinks were good. We ordered lobsters. Other people received their dinners before we did, even though we were seated first. My dinner was lukewarm. My wife said her meal was warm enough for her. I am guessing they sat under a heat lamp. The claw cracker tools showed up half way through dinner. The bread showed up after the lobster tools, and then only after we had asked for the bread. After these two gross errors, the waiter tried to get anything we asked for, but at this point, there really was nothing we needed. As I left, I talked to the host about our experience. The waiter never told him about the cockroach. As a result, there was no attempt by management to make the situation right. Even worse, the host did not seem to care that our service was poor after I told him about the lack of same. I asked him what was my incentive to come back. He said there was none. He made no effort to make things right or offer to make it up on our next trip to the restaurant. That probably will not happen. In this case, the savings, while nice in these economic times, were not worth the cockroach, warm meal and poor service. Really too bad as this could have been a nice night out for dinner. Cockroaches, poor service and an indifferent host do not make it.

My wife and ate at the La Trattoria for the first time last weekend. We wished that we had gone there before. Great food, great service, great restaurant! We liked it so much we're going back again this weekend. We would recommend this restaurant very highly to anyone. Give it a try!

After my dining experience last night, I thought that it was necessary to warn future diners. My husband and I had made reservations earlier in the day. When we arrived there were four parties waiting, all of whom had reservations as well. We waited ...

One star only because the clam chowder (which was served lukewarm) was good. Service: We were seated by a dark place in front of the fireplace because we appeared with 4 instead of the 5 people for whom I had reserved a large round table. Ambience: ...

If you love seafood, and I do, this is a great place to dine. I recommend the mussels in white wine sauce, the steamers, broiled oysters, shrimp scampi, grilled and spiced shrip, and the sea scallops. Stay with the steamed and broiled seafood for b ...

Was a little leery after seeing a couple not so good reviews on this site, but ended up having a very nice meal. The honey ginger salmon over sweet potatoes was probably the nicest salmon I've had. My husband said his petite sirloin was good too. ...

Extremely disappointed in quality and quantity of food. Banquet service was not satisfactory. We did not get salad with our meal the macaroni was cold, very little sauce, grated cheese not offered. Chicken was dry vegetables scimpy. Definitely not kids friendly. No beverages were offered to the children with their meals. No one came around for adult beverages before the celebration began. A complete and total disappointment. Another gathering will never be booked. We have had several of our family gatherings there in the past and will not return again. Over priced and unsatisfactory.

We always get great service and food here. They are even willing to make items that are not on the menu, just ask. The previous reviewer that mentioned "older" diners must have visited during the early bird hours because they have great prices and many seniors take advantage of it -- what's wrong with that?
We love La Trattoria (and seniors)!

We go to "La Trat" about four times a year and have NEVER been dissapointed. The food is consistantly good, the wait staff friendly, and the prices reasonable. For my wife and I it's a comfortable known entity we can go to without dressing up and get a delicious meal.
Old standby!!!!

We ate here, hearing that it was supposed to be sooo good. One fish meal, one chicken meal. We were HORRIFIED! Within hours we both felt "odd," fairly sick to our stomachs. The fish dinner was not fresh, the chicken dinner not tender. We both couldn't believe that the entire restaurant seemed to be only "65 and above" diners - guess that should have been our clue to RUN! We are amazed that this gets good reviews and has been in business so long. Would love to see a good restaurant take its place someday.

Usually very good, just not consistent enough to earn the 4-star rating. Willing to make items "off menu" by request.

Excellent upscale restaurant with good value. Caesar salad for two is a must. Veal dishes are excellent. Probably the best and most overlooked restaurant in the area.
