Greensboro Restaurant Guide

Wonderful dining experience. We went on a week night with a family of 4. The ambiance is amazing. No other Japanese steakhouse has live music! Food was excellent as well as the service. Both chef and server were very attentive to both of my children. I would highly recommend giving Kabuto a try!

We made reservations 2 days ahead of time. When we got there they said we didn't have a reservation. We had to wait 30 min. to get a table. It would have been longer if we had not pursued the issue. It looked as though quite a few people had messed up reservations. The food was okay. They gave us fried bananas for desert. The chief was good, he joked around a lot. When the chief left they came by with to go boxes, bags and cups for sauces, while we were all still eating. I thought it was a little rude, like they were rushing us.The parking lot is small, your better off parking at one of the hotels next door.

At first impressions this Japanese steakhouse looked to be off to a good start. There was a long wait and the place was packed. We waited for about 30 minutes moving about the bar tables and outdoor benches.

Our turn was up and we were seated at one of those Hibachi tables. Our waiter was very pleasant but seemed to not have it all together. Maybe it was very busy but he got our drink order wrong 3 times. The soups came out and it was good. The chef came and began his performance. Overall, he did a pretty good job but not the best we have seen. The kids really loved it as he was a little zealous with the alcohol so the flames were quite large! :)

The food was also for the most part good. The appetizer shrimp and scallops I got was really good. The stir fried rice though was a bit inconsistent with pockets of over salted rice. However, all was good as we were in good company of our friends and family. It could have been an off night so we would possibly visit again in the future.
