My husband, daughter and I went to Kabul yesterday after moving my daughter into the dorms. This was probably the best meal that I have had in years. I had the stuffed chicken breast with salad. The chicken was stuffed with mushrooms, feta cheese and spinache - it was to die for!!!! I will definately go back and also tell all of my friends. It ROCKS!!!!!

The best place to eat in downtown Madison. The real, not simply reheated, food is more than excellent and is available in a spectacular variety.Despite its small size, they serve their customers very well and keep it as clean as can reasonably be expected. They address their customers as "sir" and "maam" and are exceptionally personable.

Husnu's is one of the best Middle Eastern-Mediterranean restaurants in Madison, hands down. It's a great place to eat for lunch and dinner. My favorite is the Ashmali Tavuk-Chicken in an orange and apricot sauce. Yummy! Great food and great prices a ...

I love this restaurant; but, then, I love a dining experience. I like real food made in a real kitchen, not frozen food cooked in the microwave. And this food was good -- spicy and flavorful. It's a little bit like Indian cuisine, but with its own unique flavor.

Don't go there if the height of your dining experience is Red Lobster or Olive Garden. Both are fine, but you know exactly what you'll get before you get there.

Frankly, I drove in from Akron, Ohio, and we have Red Lobster and Olive Garden there, too.

Kabul can be unbearably hot in the summertime; no smell of disinfectants in the air (a plus, for my money); the bathroom in the back hall was a bit challenging; and the place has a well-worn ambiance.

Fine with me. The food was good; and the crowd was was obviously a college crowd. Can't wait to get back!

Just to offset the last comment, we ate lunch here the other day and the food and service were excellent.

Overall the worst dining experience I have ever had. In our party of 6 two people ordered kabobs, when dinner was served these two were told their kabobs were dropped on the floor and would be an additional 5-10 minute wait. They didn't offer a appetizer or anything while they waited and watched the rest of eat. When these dinners finally arrived one of them find a clump of hair in his. He pulled it out of his mouth and called the waitress over. The waitress left the dinner in front of him and said she would speak with the cook. When she returned she said nobody their had hair like that, but they would make him something else if he wanted. We explained we were now running late for our show started in 25 minutes and she said they could have something out in ten minutes. So he ordered something else so we sat and waited. When it finally arrived he took a couple bites and the waitress brought the check. We were surprised to find they were charging both kabob orders at full price. The person with the hair in his dinner was especially upset. He told the waitress he did not feel he should have to pay full price for a dinner that was seriously delayed and was just a bad experience overall. She went back to talk to the cook and came back to say you ate the food so you will pay full price. We told her we were not satisfied and would never return here. She kind of shrugged timidly apologized and that was that. The food that was served in a timely manner without hair in it was quite enjoyable, had they handled the customer service end better we would have returned
