I drove a friend back to the Atlanta Airport and could not wait to try this "Jamaican" Restaurant. It was mother's day and I had both my kids with me, also my cousin who was visitng from NY. Ironically my cousin's mom is Jamaican, so he knows Jamaican food. I am from Barbados. Even though the menu is a bit on the pricey side, I think it was well worth it. The portions are enormous, and the waiter was very personable, I felt like I was dining in Jamaica. I had the curry chicken and rice, my cousin had the beef stew and rice, and my kids each had beef patties and fries. My cousin also commented that it was better than some of the Jamaican restaurants back in NY. I also took home 2 rotis and another curry chicken plate so that my mother could try this delicious really authentic food. If you are from the Caribbean living down south, you know how difficult it is to get really good Caribbean food. Since this restaurant is so wonderful, I do not mind taking the one and a half hour trip from Chattanooga, TN to Atlanta, GA to enjoy a great meal. As a matter of fact, my mom and a friend of hers took a trip there today, and I cannot wait for her to bring me back my plate(s). Also I am planning a trip back down there in a couple of weeks with other Barbadian friends. Jamaica, Jamaica has a customer as long as they are in business; me.

It is the BEST oxtails that I have ever had. I was addicted to them for a while.

I believe the food is excellent. The plates are pretty much in good portion and the food tastes great and fresh every time.

Lonnie did a wonderful job cooking the ribs. They were moist and tender and the meat just fell off the bone. The baked beans soaked in rum were delicious. The music was "cut you to the bone" blues with John Lee Hooker, BB King, and that white boy, ...

One of my favorite BBQ places in Atlanta. I used to live in Grant Park and Daddy Dz was a frequent choice for dinner. Ribs are tender and flavorful. Sides were good as well. Worth the drive. Great food reasonably priced.
