Corpus Christi Restaurant Guide

I'm from austin Tx and while visiting corpus, my friends turned me on to hunan express. The ingredients are high quality with authentic chinese spices and sauces. The staff were very busy, but still delightful. I have noticed people on here complaining about how dingy and dirty the place is, seriously folks yall live in corpus.

It depends on which one you go to. The one on Everhart is horrible. I usually go to the restaurant on Williams and their service and food is a bit better, not by much. Their food is passable, but not the best and could use a lot of improvement. The people I've spoken to there have been helpful, especially the delivery people; they're very nice to me. The place is dirty and looks cheap but I can't let go of how good it used to be. So I'll once in a while get something.

The establishment is filthy. The quality of their food is very poor and old. We got delivery more than once and you can't eat it on the second day because it goes rancid real quick. Not typical of Chinese since leftovers usually always taste better on the second day. The order takers on the phone act like they're doing you a favor and you know you don't have their full attention. I look at the outside of their building each day as I drive by, which is always an indication of the inside - filthy.

New To Corpus Christi and thought this was supposed to be a good Chinese restaurant. Not as authentic as I thought it would be. Fried rice is nothing but white rice and green peas.Carrots are added to the egg drop soup, which doesnt enhance the soup at all. Staff was rude on the phone and I could not understand "their" English.

The food is wonderful I think, But the staff is very rude, I've been over 10 times and they always have been rude. I just completely stopped going after the last time.

Though that the food is below average, but I will never eat here again. Cashier and waitress was very rude. They were both not helpful and we did not feel welcome. We complain to management, but she had problem speaking english. So we just all left.

I have eaten here a number of times. Oriental Food wise I think Hunan is one of the best in Corpus Christi. The establishment is a bit unclean but the food and service gets a B-.
