Greensboro Restaurant Guide

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant because,point blank, the food is very good and the prices are great.

I am surrounded by my choice of restaurants and Golden Wok is one of the best. Their delivery service is also very good.

The noodle dishes are excellent, but the service is lacking. I chose this restaurant based on the ratings of others. But I had a problem with how the meal is served piecemeal over the course of your time there. They started by bring us lo mein after 15 minutes. 10 minutes later we got dumplings. Then 20 minutes later we got rice. Then, 10 minutes later we got our chicken dish. This food and service is no where near that of Phoenix and PF Changs. In my opinion this is not the best Chinese food in Greensboro.

Having recently moved here from out of state, I was slow to purchase from "any" Chinese restaurant. However, my daughter has lived here 8 years and highly recommended this one. I've been twice and plan to go again in the very near future. I think their food surpasses any Chinese food I've eaten. Very fresh, delicious food and extremly friendly service . . . something you don't get much of up North. You won't be disappointed.

WOW!! I was amazed with the service and food. The secret is out - the place was packed on a Monday night, the food was great, the price right, and service was friendly. You can't go wrong with this choice.

Some of the best Chinese food in Greensboro, NC can be found at Golden Wok in the Target Shopping Center off Wendover Avenue. This nondescript ma & pa restaurant is a true gem! Even though it's hidden in a strip center across from Target, enough people have found out about this place... and, it's always packed with regulars!

Don't go to Golden Wok expecting the ambiance of P.F. Chang's or Phoenix Asian. It's more or less a fast food restaurant. However, taste-wise, Golden Wok certainly beats or matches these other fancier restaurants.

Some of my favorite entrées include such Chinese staples as Happy Family, Chicken & Broccoli, Moo Goo Gai Pan, and Sesame Chicken; however, you can't really go wrong with anything on their menu. Their Chinese chicken wings are fantastic. Their egg rolls are plump and tasty! The list goes on and on...

If you visit Golden Wok, expect to wait if there's a crowd. All the food is fresh, and this dishes are made-to-order and prepped as you wait. There are eight 2-seater booths and eight 4-seater booths, so the dining room is small. If you dine in, you'll occasionally have to wait on a table to free up before you can eat. Take out is also very popular at Golden Wok, too
