I hope they never close down! Family run businesses in this town have a hard time lasting. Everyone goes to the nasty chain restaurants in Killeen. German Imbiss is perfection! I lived in Germany for many years and this is as authentic as it gets. Yes, they can be quite busy on the weekends and there is limited seating so expect to WAIT. As with pretty much anywhere in this area on a Fri or Sat night. But it is definitely worth the wait here. The food is simply wonderful!

Not only was the food great, the prices are incredibly low. The small portions are very large and more than enough. A great meal for $5. Wow!

1st time there, they were running out of ice constantly, waited forever for the food...Owner kept apologizing saying they'd just opened, etc etc...the gravy is so-so that they put on the spaetzle. We had the wienerschnitzel which was alright, I can make better! 2nd time we went (Sat. afternoon) sign in the window said closed due to running out of food AGAIN! 3rd time we went they ran out of butter for the brotchen...another long wait for the food on a Friday night. I just don't like waiting forever for my food, 15 minutes should be the most to wait...I have noticed that there aren't many cars lately at the restaurant. Maybe cause everyone got tired of waiting?? hmmmmmmm

This is authentic German food. Everything is made by hand, when you order. I wouldn't hesitate to take any here, from a family get together ton a business lunch, it's the perfect place.
