Mediocre. Disappointing. Probably ok if you're drunk or want to fill up on soup. The sushi is not for people who know what good sushi tastes like. (It tastes like fresh raw fish.) I got the sushi dinner. The individual pieces had a lot of wasabi wiped onto the rice below the cuts of fish. Some of the pieces tasted like there had been lemon juice applied. Why? Because the fish itself is tasteless, and probably a day or two old.

I tried to wash it down with some "green" tea, which was brown for some reason, and smelled like horse manure. Like a pungent maté, only less tasty.

On top of that, it's overpriced. 20 bucks for Sushi Dinner. Same amount costs 17 and is much higher quality at my local hole-in-the-wall in Brooklyn.

Sounds from other reviews I've read that people really go for the ambiance (graffiti walls, small performance stage, a television on the wall playing sports) or for some attachment to the staff. That's all fine, if you're looking for a drink of whisky. In fact, that might be the best thing to order at Geisha. But don't expect good sushi. You won't find it here.

This is my favorite Japanese restaurant in Austin and , it has the added bonus of being very close to our home!!! The food, service, ambiance and general experience are all wonderful!! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!

I agree. If the sign says parking for customers only, use your head and tell them before you high-tail it to run errands. Their food is awesome and they need all the parking they can get at that lacation.

We were on vacation and took my daughter. The location was perfect for downtown and the University of Austin Campus. I usually worry when we try a new veggie restaurant. My daughter loved it considering even though she is vegeterian, she's still a ...
