I am unclear as to where the other individual's reviewing this restaurant have been dining. My guess is that they have some affiliation with the restaurant or the reviews are "planted" in hopes of attracting some poor person to sit down at the table.
Several years back (yes, somehow this place has stayed in business over multiple years) a friend of mine warned me to steer clear. I heeded the warning until yesterday evening.
We sat down in the almost empty restaurant which was messy and unsanitary. The tablecloth was filthy. We served a basket of multi-colored chips which was a pathetic attempt at being unique. No salsa accompanied the chips - just three small dishes of who knows what...I tried all three, each one resulting in me making a face worse than the one before.
We ordered two beers and two entrees. While we waited, we gazed at the flies as they buzzed around the table. The owner's children ran and played loudly throughout the restaurant and performed chores such as drowning a close-by table in windex which filled the restaurant with a sickening chemical aroma.
The food arrived and it was the most vile plate of swill that I have ever encountered. We choked down enough to be polite and was thankful for the beer in the bottle which gave some sense of security that we weren't drinking a recycled beverage.
The service was ridiculously slow considering that we were one of two tables in the restaurant. My boyfriend actually had to stand up and go ask for the bill. We paid and left - tripping over the children playing in front of the entrance.
This place needs to call it a day...It's not cheap either...
