Filomena's Ristorante is one of the most wonderful restaurants in Washington, DC. From the outside it looks unassuming, but once you go down the steps, the dining room opens up to a fabulous place to enjoy a meal. The waiting area is situated near a fabulous display case filled with exquisite cakes and desserts. The wait staff is attentive and the food is perfectly prepared and served in generous amounts. Complimentary carafs of after-dinner liquers are offered. The entire experience is warm, comfortable, yet elegantly refined. We love this restaurant and would recommend it to anyone who desires a special evening.
