After having steaks at the Embers 5 times, all being excellent, tender, none fatty, we took our family there for Easter dinner Saturday night.
Out of the 8 of us, 5 got NY stripe steaks, 4 of which were very tuff and had allot of fat and gristle..what a dissapointment after raving about these steaks to family and friends. Our waitress was excellent. When she expressed our complaints to the manager, she could only come out and say how sorry "she" was. I'd not be as upset if at least the management could have taken
the initiative to come to our table to find our why we were upset with the meals.

my husband and i went to embers one night for dinner and were delighted. my experience there for lunch today was a totally different experience. it took forever for a server to reach my table. i asked for one of their lunch specials a shrimp pasta on linguini. it took a very long time to get it. the waitress paused long enough to throw a little cheese over it and disappeared. the pasta was absolutely awful. tasteless; the sauce did nothing for it; undersalted, completely bland.i would have asked for another entree or at the very least another sauce but the waitress never reappeared. i had also asked if i could SUBSTITUTE the garlic bread for even half of a small salad instead. it turned out she charged me for the salad - another $2.99. when she came at the end i told her how bad the pasta was and would not pay for it; she said she would check with the manager. she returned saying the manager said don't charge me for it. in the meantime the manager never came out to talk with me, and the waitress plunked down a check of &5.56 for a salad i didn't want to be charged for PLUS a diet coke i'd ordered which turned out to cost a shocking $2.25. i got to leave ;ess over five dollars, hungry, and unapologized to as well as no one at the restaurant particularly caring. i will never go back. the ironic thing is i had gone there to get a gift certificate. i don't know what they did the night my husband and i ate there but they sure fooled us. by the way, i sent a note back with the waitress to give to the manager. never heard from the manager either.

My wife and I went there for our wedding anniversary last week. Although the weather was cold and rainy, preventing us from getting seating on the outdoor deck at sunset, we reserved a window seat. The view is fantastic and so are the facilities. ...

I had a steak dinner at the Embers today and I was very disappointed. Although the steak was good my mashed potatoes were delivered five minutes after the rest of my food was served and they were cold and soupy. I complained to the waitress who offered to exchange them for a baked potato and said she could have it for me shortly. Half way through my meal I still didn't have the potato and I ask when I would get it. She said she wasn't sure so I said forget it since I was half way through my meal. She offered to box it and I said I didn't want a boxed potato but would like an adjustment on my bill. She said she would get the manager for me who instead of facing me sent the waitress back to the table with an offer to deduct $1.49 from my bill and no apology.
Needless to say, I will never eat at the Embers again.
