Featuring a casual atmosphere and full service bar, the El Jardin Café sports a fine menu and great selection of traditional Mexican dishes as well as Tex-Mex favorites.The appetizers start with the chips and homemade salsa which has helped El Jardin Café gain their reputation. You can enjoy your appetizers on the outdoor patio on warm days before heading in for your lunch or dinner selections. You can also taste the great margaritas which have a fine reputation as well in the El Jardin Café.
The steak quesadilla is near perfection and Queso Fundito with Chorizo has the zing and fire you would expect. But the fajitas are plenty hot and are well worth the affordable price. El Jardin Café is fast becoming one of Chicago's better Mexican restaurants.

Amazing everything. I was just there recently and the food was authtic and the drinks were strong. The wait staff was good and the bartender knew what he was doing...I highly recommend this place. Not to be confused with El Jardin Restaurant...one block south...stay with the Cafe.

The best Birrea restaurant I have ever been to, its great authentic flavor!!! and hand made tortillas, service is great, was greeted by John when we came in definitely reccomend, and definitely will go back.
