I think they must have gone up on prices recently..
We got 3 hotdogs, 3 fries and 3 large drinks and it was
18 dollars!!! That is crazy! For a freakin hotdog?!
I had 3 pieces of cake on the order and had to take those
off. It was 32 dollars with the three pieces of cake..
Will not be going back.

EXCELLENT BBQ! Stopped at Darrell's by chance while riding motorcycle in the area. The food was great! Next time out, Darrell's will be the destination for the trip.

I love Darrell's! Please don't let anyone from Darrell's read this. I don't want them to go up on their prices. The large chopped BBQ tray is under four dollars! At some places, one has to mark down on either the BBQ, the slaw, or the hush puppies. But, Darrell's has it right on all counts! The Saturday special is the BBQ half chicken. Great! And, the sweet tea is right up there, too!
My criticism -- the ONLY criticism -- of Darrell's is that I am portly, to say the least. Since the restaurant is so small, the tables are very close together. And, they are all table-booths, with no option for an adjustable seat. So, as soon as I am finished eating, I have to get out of there. One would think that at least one or two tables would have unanchored seating. But, alas, no. The option: Darrell's has a great drive-thru, too! Go. By all means, go.

Darrels bbg is the best place to go if your looking for bbq or seafood or even sweet tea.I advise that you go there.The waitress are very nice also.Darrels bbq is the best restront in rockwell,nc and thats why i rate it 5 stars.

One of the better BBQ restaurants in Rowan County. I've been going the for over 20 years and the quality and taste have always been first-rate. The BBQ is fantastic and the sauce that comes with it just gives it a perfect flavor. The fish is also great and it's not a piece of processed fish like you get in many restaurants. The pies are also delicious. It's a small restaurant and easy to miss near the town's center but Darrell's is worth finding. Open from Wednesday-Saturday. No breakfast offered.
DARRELLS HAS THE BEST SEAFOOD AND BBQ IN NC. MY ENTIRE FAMILY IS FRIENDS WITH DARRELL HIMSELF, WHO IS WORKING THERE EVERYDAY WITH HIS EMPLOYEES. THEY HAVE A RELAXED, SOUTHERN, NASCAR INSPIRED ATTITUDE, BUT ARE ALWAYS WELCOME TO EVERYONE. I COULD LIVE ON THEIR FOOD.
Advice: TRY THE BBQ OR FISH PLATTER WITH A REFRESHING CHEERWINE OR SWEET TEA.
