I rarely decide to go to a fast food joint for a hamburger. Well, I had the craving so I went to the local Dairy Queen off of New Shackle Island.
The teenage girl at the window was rude as she could be. I guess because I made a special order. She kept repeating it back to me in a sullen manner, as if I was commanding her to launch a nuclear attack on the Middle East. When I say special order, all I meant was that I substituted onion rings for fries on a combo, and ordered a shake to drink.
When I said "thank you" after she handed me the food, she just looked at me with a sour expression.
I got home and tried to eat the hamburger, and you could tell it had been sitting under the heaters for hours. It was cold and stiff and chewy. I couldn't finish it, it was like eating beef jerky.
Disgusting all around.

Italian, Italian (Traditional), Cafe, Deli/Sandwich/Subs
Hendersonville is overrun with run-of-the-mill spots, so Avanti Gourmet is a diamond. A varied, but not overwhelming, dine-in menu, with fine mixture of Greek & Italian selections, complements a great selection of cold take-home deli-style meals. I ...
