Coco Restaurant prides itself in catering and authentic traditional Puerto Rican gourmet cuisine. The menu contains a wide array of traditional and contemporary dishes. In the entrée category, the enticing and mouth-watering choices include authentic foods that are native to the island. It focuses more on "mofongo" dishes - mountainous cup filled plantain item. For a contemporary flavor, the modern menu offers the same item except it utilizes a root vegetable of "yucca" that is filled with crab meat. These choices are just a few delicacies that will not only satisfy the customer's palette; but intrigue one to explore. Coco Restaurant & Caribbean Lounge provides live music entertainment Thursday through Saturday. Come and see the best salsa bands only at Coco Restaurant. Bands start at 10:00pm and always NO COVER.

staff was very nice, ambiance was A+, food was a little bland and dry. portions were nice. dessert was fair. dance floor and live band very nice if you closed your eyes you would think you were in Puerto Rico. patio dining was very nice!

The food was really tasty. The Yassa chicken was well seasoned. However, it was a bit tough for my taste. No matter, the place is great. Loved the cabbage. Try it.

Nice place to stay, with unique kind of music. Latin Music, Andean and Paraguayan harp which you can't see any other place in Chicago.
