I have been going to Chink's since I was in my teens(1950's). We used to stop by for a cheesesteak and a black & white milkshake after school and football practices.
I no longer live in Philly but when I am in town I make sure I go by Chink's. I have taken my children and my grandchildren there. We love the cheesesteak sandwiches. It may look like a hole in the wall but I tell everyone
"CHINK'S IS THE BEST".

If the restaurant was called the N word because the owner had big lips and that was his nickname growing up, do you seriously think that would be OK? That name would be changed in a second. So the fact that this restaurant is still called "Chinks" is wrong. The problem with the name Chinks is that it has always been used as a derogaratory word to put down a whole other race. I think I'll go open up a restaurant now called "White Trash" because I grew up in a trailer park.
