China Village is such an amazing restaurant. My fiance & I always get General Tso's chicken...we have never gotten another dish, we were completely satisfied. & for 9 bucks you get the little chinese chips & duct sauce as an appetizer, an egg roll (never liked egg rolls until we tried China Village's), 3 chicken fingers, rice, and General Tso's Chicken. You can't beat that!!

Absolutely the best Chinese I've had, fresh, hot, and tasty! The staff is wonderful and joke around and Sally is a peach! Can't beat the Mai Tai drinks either!

Best Chinese food around! Especially their Crab Rangoons. I've always found the food to be hot, fresh and prompt.

I adore chinese food. Granted, I am from a metro area, so I'm spoiled, but I expect Chinese to be Chinese. My husband likes the pepper steak, but how can you mess up pepper steak? Have only had take out, so don't know about service etc. but the dishes are very weird, Americanized I guess. I make very good hot and sour soup, one of my favorites. Their's is not even close. I found what seemed to be frozen carrots and peas in alot of their dishes (strange), but how goofy in an extremely sweet, not hot or sour soup. No tofu, no lily buds, no bamboo shoots, it was nothing like it should be. I swear the bean sprouts in the fried rice were canned. I don't know what was in the shrimp and lobster sauce (that tasted okay), but it just wasn't right. Sorry, I know Gray is a small town but, as I said, Chinese should be Chinese. I expect fresh, Chinese veggies, not canned and frozen ones you'd expect to find in a chicken pot pie. I do much better in my own kitchen.

I have eaten at many asian restaurants and China Village is by far the best. I have been going there for years, since it was the Pizza Barn! They are never rude, Food is never raw or cold....of course I only live 20 minutes away. Chicken fried rice is my favorite.

Extremely bad experience because I asked if they changed their menu and the waitress whom I did not know and she perhaps could have been the owner, snapped at me in front of other diners that she had not changed the menu in 14 years and if I didn't like it "TOUGH". Great for business don't you think. Funny thing tho - the menu had changed because it was a brand new menu and the lunch special of chop suey and chicken fingers and fried rice was no longer there. How do I know? Thats that only Chinese food that I eat and I had been there previously many times and had that very thing. She was extremely rude and I would not recommend the restaurant to my worst enemy. You do not treat customers that way.

Furthermore, at a previous visit to that restaurant I left a tip on the table and they proceeded to take another $5.00 tip which was unauthorized from my credit card. I knew only when my bill came in.

I am from the area and my family and I have always found the food and the service to be excellent. Although it is small, I would recommend this restaurant highly.

I picked upt takeout to bring back to Portland tonight. Not only were the crab rangoons and chicken nuggets almost raw the manager said I needed to take them back to Gray for a credit! She also hung up on me even though I was polite. -said she was too busy to talk to me!
