Great Steaks! Wonderful beans, potatoe salad, coleslaw and cornbread bar! Not impressed with the BBQ. VERY EXPENSIVE!
Their chicken breast gave my mom and some others salmonilla! The food was very cold and they messed up our order TWICE.

I have been going to Cattle Baron for a number of years now, and I must say that the Lubbock location is a wonderful place for just about any occasion. I was very pleased with the service, the food, and that overall atmosphere of this amazing restaurant! The bad reviews are often written by the customers who had that one wrong experience, so i would like to set the record straight and say that all in all, I would choose nowhere else for a great dining experience!!

I used to live in Lubbock and would eat here at least two times a month and always had good service and excellent food. I raved and raved on how good the steaks are and, to my poor judgment, I found out that the food and the service has really gone downhill in the past year. My friend and I went to have dinner on Wednesday September 2nd and that was the most awful steak I have ever had in my life!! I ordered the cattle baron steak, $17.95 for this piece of meat. It was tough; cold; had more gristle and fat than my dog. The baked potato & the bread were also cold. I actually even had to get up and get my own steak sauce!! Never again will we make that mistake of spending $17.95 on a crappy steak!! Should have gone to Tx. Land & Cattle!!! Will do that next time.

We went here to celebrate my daughter's graduation from Texas Tech. The salad bar was truly outstanding and the bread was quite good. However, the Prime Rib (represented as a specialty of the restaurant) was mediocre at best and the steaks were absolutely horrible. Three of us ordered filet mignon and two of the three were way overcooked. All three were very chewy, dry, and could not have been more than half an inch thick. I have never seen filet mignon cut that thin. One of us ordered the New York strip steak and it was about what I expect you might get if you ordered a breakfast steak from Denny's, although I must admit this is speculative because I have never done so. What a disappointing way to celebrate a momentous occasion. I take responsibility for not doing a better job of researching Lubbock restaurants but this place should not even be in business.

We had a late lunch at your steak house today and it was the worse experince with your waiter and the magarita was the worse i had ever had and the price was high for the quaily of the drink. The steak was tough. My husband odered a kabob and it was tough. We complaned and the waiter did not even try to correct the promblem. We always tip very well and we didn't he was worth it so we didn't tip.

Poor service, poor preparation of food, lack of quality and the management has no clue how to fix the problem. I would not take my dog to this place.

This has to be the best place I've eaten in Lubbock. It has a great Salad Bar as well as Main Course Menu. A little pricey, but overall worth the $.
