OK...I'm not from New York, but I've consumed plenty of good pizza, and Carmine's ain't it. I ordered and picked up my "works" pizza on a summer Sunday evening. I was expecting a reasonable amount of traffic in the restaurant, but it was almost empty. I was expecting fresh mushrooms on my pizza, but they came out of a jar. I ordered an 18 inch, and the center six inches of the pizza were a sloppy gooey greasy mess. I think Carmine's could correct these problems with some fresh mushrooms (even pizza hut is doing this last I checked) and retraining the pizza chefs. It tasted OK, but that's pretty much all I will say about it. In Dallas, there is much better pizza available. I wanted to like Carmine's because of its close proximity to my house, but unless I hear they have changed, I won't be back.
Me and a group of my co-workers went their for the first time two weeks ago and their food was excellent. It was exactly what we were looking for when we said we wanted Italian food. Their service is great and thier prices arent bad at all considerin
...
the food was not that good and they do not honor the prices on the menu and when asked we were told that they had given us an old menu and they are sorry for the mix up.

The best pizza I have every had. My boyfriend recently moved from New York and said this was the best pizza he's had since moving to Texas nearly a year ago. It's a very casual place. I loved it.

First of all, this pizza is delicious! The staff is kind and attentive. Overall a very laid-back place.
