I have been a patron of Captain Stanley's for several years now and can testify that the authenticity of calabash style seafood lives on here! Generally both the service and cuisine are excellent although, like any restaurant, there are busy times when patience is required; it's worth the wait if that becomes the situation! I've dined alone, with my family (very kid friendly!) and even with business associates. I will continue to frequent Captain Stanley's and recommend it with no hesitation.

Nine of us from work went out for seafood today to celebrate Boss's Day. The waitress took our order about 10 minutes after we arrived. FORTY FIVE MINUTES later we had not received our food and the waitress had only been by our table once to tell us the broiled food took a little longer to cook. In the meantime 5 tables were served, some of which were seated, served and finished eating while we were still waiting! One of our party again went to get a waitress to find out what was the problem, to be told again the broiled food took longer!! After another short wait we left. We did learn later that our order was not turned in to the kitchen until 20 minutes after the waitress took it. Unacceptable!!!!!! I don't think we'll be going back anytime soon.

Well, to start the service was terrible. My wife got the crab cake sandwich, and the crab cakes tasted like a crab may have walked by them at some point, but that was about it. I got the flounder sandwich, which was a bit bland, but the flounder was tasty. They couldn't find a kids menu - despite having one - but the kids got chicken tenders, which were about as you would expect. 3 of us had lunch for about 20 dollars including tip. All in all, we wont be going back.

Cindy should be voted waitress of the year. Her careing ways and wounderful smile make our dinning experience fun and enjoyable.

If you want the absolute best seafood you need to try Captain Stanley's. I've been dining there for many years and since my first experience there, it has been my favorite restaurant. The slaw, baked potatoes and iced tea are delicious. But most important, the seafood is always fresh and cooked perfectly. My favorite is a fried oyster/broiled stuffed salmon combination. The oysters are excellent and the salmon will melt in your mouth. The waitress brings hot hushpuppies to your table before she takes your order so your appetizer is automatically taken care of. Your food is on the table in record time and is always hot and fresh. If you haven't dined there you've missed out on the best seafood ever!

Captain Stanley's had become our favorite seafood restaurant for almost 15 years. I lost my friend 4 wks. ago today and I feel completely lost right now. I miss him so, and the times we spent together especially almost every Saturday at Captain Stanley's were the best. We became such close friends with an employee there who is a very kind and nice young man 'Jake'...We would always be looking for Jake and would always talk about sports and his education. Oh, I do want to continue my dining at Captain Stanley's - I'm just alone right now and hate dining alone...LOVE LOVE LOVE those fried catfish! I will always cherish the memories we made at Captain Stanley's...You're the BEST seafood around.
Thank You!!! Keep the great food coming!!!
