12/2/2008 4:00 PM-- I visited the Burger King drive through at Anderson Mill and 183 this afternoon during off-peak hours. There was NO ONE in line and the automated recording asked to take my order. I waited until I got the human voice and clearly gave my order. She clearly wasn't listening to me as I had to repeat it three times amidst her distracted laughing and conversating with someone else there(a whopper and a chocolate shake - it wasn't complicated). When I pointed out that she posted it wrong for the 3rd time she abruptly and rudely cut me off and told me to drive to the window. Turns out, 'she' was the MANAGER. I told the male d/t worker (who by the way, recited the WRONG order back to me!) that I wanted to speak with the manager to address how rudely I felt I'd been treated. I simply said, you were rude to me and I think you owe me an apology. She was even more saucy and abrupt with me again, and challenged me about what transpired before insincerely saying with a roll of her eyes, "well fine, I apologize then". To make matters worse, when I drove down the road, I realized they made my burger WRONG! By the way, three employees were leaning on the front counter laughing and relaxing with the manager when I pulled up to the window. I'm infuriated that I was disregarded at the window (why ask me over and over to repeat my order if you aren't listening?) and that the LAZY STAFF got my order WRONG in the end! BE PROFESSIONAL! I'm reporting my experience to the corporate office.
