#1 Do you love seafood? If yes, read on.
#2 Do you mind making a mess? If no, read on.

The Boiling Pot is on the corner of I35 and 6th street. It's colorful and smells delicious. Each table is covered with white paper, which I will explain in a few. They have at least 3 different types of crab to choose from, Oysters, crawfish, shrimp, Andouille sausage, new potatoes, corn on the cob, etc.. Basically this is how it works. Upon seating, you are furnished with a bib , a mallet and mimi pitchforks. You place your order and it all comes out in ONE giant steaming silver bowl which is dumped on the table (ontop of the paper) for you and your guests to attack like savages. If you don't like your shrimp or crawfish smiling at you with their heads on, then you may want to refrain from ordering those two items. It's fun and messy and a great place to bring out of towners, OR if you want to find out if your date is too high maintenance for you, then bring them here and see if they can hang.

Just an FYI the place is fairly small and gets very busy, so be patient if your service is lagging, it's worth your time.
